An Update on Pastor Lloyd’s Trip to India [November 2024]

Dear FFBC Family,
Things are going extremely well here in India. By God’s grace the people are understanding and responding to God’s word and both Suresh and I are feeling very well.
Last week we traveled to Huzur Nagar in Nolgonda, Telangana for a pastor’s conference. Around 35 men were in attendance and I taught the book of 1 Corinthians. We also gave each man four books in Telugu (Suresh’s native language and the language of the region). One of them was The Reformed Pastor by Richard Baxter, and the other was Holiness by J.C. Ryle.
I preached in Shavaipally and Venkatapur on Sunday and, Lord willing, will do so again this coming Lord’s Day.
This week we are in Venkatapur holding a four-day conference. Once again we are teaching the book of First Corinthians and here there are about 35 men in attendance as well. In addition, we are having meetings each evening and I am preaching some of the highlights of our study for the people in the church who are not able to attend the class during the day.
We will be giving these men a number of books at the end of the conference as well, and also purchased several sets of The MacArthur New Testament Commentary for some men who are able to read in English. Each set is only a little over $100 USD!
Thank you all for your faithfulness in prayer and your generous giving that, by God’s grace, makes this all possible. I have shared your greetings with them; it truly is a joy to represent FFBC to these precious brothers and sisters.
As Paul says in Romans 1:11-12, while I have longed to be here to impart a gift to these brethren I am mutually encouraged by their faith. I am praying that you all will be as well through my coming to them.
Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Lloyd
