Children’s Ministry

Our children’s ministry is a safe, loving environment where young ones ages newborn to 5th grade can learn the deep truths of God’s Word at their own level. Our children’s ministry shepherds kids while allowing parents the opportunity to focus their full attention on worship.

We do not view the children’s ministry at Firm Foundation as child care, or as a substitute for the parental responsibility to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). Rather, through our children’s ministry, we come alongside parents and assist them in teaching their children God’s Word and helping them grow in their understanding of the Gospel.

Sunday | Children’s Church

Through our curriculum, Generations of Grace, kids are essentially brought through the entire Bible in a three-year cycle in a way that is appropriate and accessible for them, but that doesn’t trivialize the Scriptures or skip over difficult passages.

Included in the curriculum is a take-home summary of what was taught each Lord’s Day with questions parents can review with their children. Beyond that, we also insert a family devotional in the bulletin each Sunday that is based on that day’s lesson. We see this as a way of getting good use out of the curriculum, but also as an aid to help parents shepherd their children through time in God’s Word as a family.
