Coming alongside parents to help kids grow in God’s Word.
The Children’s Ministry of Firm Foundation Bible Church is a safe, grace-filled environment where young ones ages newborn to 5th grade can learn the deep truths of God’s Word at their own level. Children’s Ministry helps shepherd kids while allowing parents the opportunity to focus their full attention on worship and the Word.
The Children’s Ministry at FFBC is not child care, neither is it a substitute for the parents’ responsibility to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). Rather, through the children’s ministry, we come alongside parents and assist them in teaching their children God’s Word and helping them grow in their understanding of the Gospel.

Ministering to families with the truth of Scripture.
The curriculum we use for Children’s Ministry is Generations of Grace, which was created by Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA (learn more at www.gracechurch.org). Over the course of a three-year cycle, kids are brought through the entire Bible in a way that is appropriate and accessible for them, but that doesn’t trivialize the Scriptures or skip over difficult passages. Along with an age-specific, expositional Bible lesson are games and crafts that are designed to help reinforce and expand what the children are learning that week. Also included in the curriculum is a take-home summary of what was taught each Lord’s Day with questions parents can review with their children.
Beyond that, we insert a family devotional in the FFBC bulletin each Sunday that is based on that week’s lesson. We see this as a way of getting good use out of the Generations of Grace material, but also as an aid to help parents shepherd their children through time in God’s Word as a family.
