About Men’s Ministry

In an increasingly-godless society, the battle for men to follow Christ, lead their families, and pursue holiness is real. Now more than ever, men need the sanctifying grace of God through edifying relationships and the bedrock foundation of Scripture.

Through the men’s ministry at Firm Foundation, we seek to flesh out the desire of the apostle Paul in Colossians 1:28: “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”

Men do not need gimmicks, life tips, or superficial externals that aim to curb behavior or conform them to society’s values. Men need Christ Himself—to see the ultimate Man preached, taught, and modeled so that they learn to grow up into the image of Him by the power of the Spirit, and they need that in the context of relationships. 2 Timothy 2:22 calls us to “flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” Men desperately need to heed this call to support and sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron.

Our men’s ministry features regular events—such as breakfasts, special studies, and even service-related opportunities, all designed to equip our men for biblical manhood and to foster discipleship and fellowship among them.

Spiritual growth happens when God’s Word is faithfully preached.

Growth in Christ comes by reading, understanding, explaining, and applying the Scriptures to our hearts and lives—verse by verse, book by book, week in and week out. Come be nourished with us.
