Love is Everlasting

We live in a world where all good things must come to an end. But for the Christian, this is only because a greater end awaits, when the Lord returns and the church experiences the fullness of our sanctification. Because spiritual gifts are a means to that end, they will not last forever, but love will, for to love is to be like Christ. Faith and hope are necessary, but they are merely markers that point us to that great day when they will turn to sight. Yet love will remain throughout eternity.
