Understanding the One to Whom We Pray

The A.C.T.S. prayer model—adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication—is a fine model that has no doubt helped many Christians. But the one inspired model that we have doesn't begin with any of those, properly speaking. Rather, the Lord Jesus teaches us to pray this way: 'When you pray,' he says, 'begin by simply addressing your Father in heaven, and then tell him what you need.' Here in this fourth message in our series on prayer, we will take a deeper look at the One to whom it is that Jesus encourages us to pray.
