God's ways are often seen as foolishness to men. When things don't seem to make sense, appearing either too extraordinary for our human sensibilities to accept, or just too ordinary to be God's handiwork, we dismiss them in disbelief. But what if God does what He does in the ways He does for that very reason, in order that we might be forced to bow the knee in humble submission and admit that "the foolishness of God is wiser than men" (1 Cor. 1:25)? Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). Sadly, the One who is the true light is rejected by the world because He exposes the darkness of their hearts. But the offer of forgiveness and eternal life is offered to all those who would turn and receive Him by faith.
